Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-17
This Privacy Policy explains what data LineApp ("we," "the Service") collects, why, and how you can control it. See also our Terms of Service.
1. What we collect
- Account data: your email address, password (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see or store your password ourselves), and a username you choose. Your email is never shown to other users; your username is public by design (see below).
- Content you submit: lineup videos, screenshots, and descriptions you choose to upload. Each submission includes a choice of whether to publicly credit it to your username — if you opt out, it's still shown to everyone (see our Terms of Service), just without your username attached.
- Usage data: anonymized page-view analytics (via Vercel Analytics) — no individual tracking, no cookies used for this specifically. We also count, in total only, how many times a lineup detail page is opened by anyone (logged in or not) — just a running number with a timestamp, nothing tied to you or your device. Separately, if you're logged in, we record a single yes/no flag on your account for whether you've ever opened a lineup — no record of which lineups or when, used only to calculate an aggregate engagement percentage that admins can see.
- Advertising data: if you see ads on the Service, Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or use similar technologies on your device to serve and measure ads, and (where you've given consent) to personalize them. See Section 4.
2. How we use it
To operate the Service (show you lineups, remember your account, let you submit content), to keep the Service reasonably secure, to understand aggregate usage so we can improve it, and to show and measure advertising that helps fund it.
3. Third-party services we use
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
- Cloudflare R2 — video and image storage.
- Vercel — website hosting and analytics.
- Google AdSense — advertising.
Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy in addition to this one.
4. Cookies & advertising
The Service itself only uses strictly necessary cookies (for example, to keep you signed in). If advertising is enabled, Google AdSense and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads, measure their performance, and — where you consent — personalize them based on your activity on this and other sites.
If you're in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you'll be asked for consent before any non-essential advertising cookies are set, in line with Google's EU User Consent Policy. You can withdraw or change that consent at any time (look for a "Privacy settings" or "Manage consent" link where the banner first appeared, or via your browser's cookie settings), and you can opt out of personalized advertising generally at adssettings.google.com.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete your own submitted lineups at any time through the Service; to delete your account entirely or exercise any other right, contact us (Section 7).
6. Data retention
We keep your account and submitted content for as long as your account exists, or until you request deletion. Some information may persist in backups or already-served ad impressions for a limited time after deletion, as described in our Terms of Service.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your local law), and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
